BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is on the chimney front. The motto reads: "Sic Umbra Sic Vita". The date below the dial is 1695. This is the date of the building, and the dial itself is believed to date from 1725 when it was set up to correct the clock. It is sometimes ascribed to Christopher Wren, but he died in 1723. It may be the work of his master mason for St Paul’s, Edward Strong. The dial shows 6am to 6pm in half hours, on a break arch style dialplate, using a flower for noon and IV for 4pm. There is a large sun disc at the gnomon root.
