BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial House, Marlow

A fine vertical dial above the entrance door of a garden wall, declining west. The dial appears to be painted on a metal sheet secured to wood. Recent restoration of the nineteenth century dial appears to be slightly faulty - perhaps the gnomon is not positioned quite correctly. The dial, facing south west, shows 1pm to 8pm in 15 min marks. Hour lines are drawn through the vertical Roman numerals. All lines, numerals and the upper motto are gilded on a blue ground. Mottoes read: "Ne quid pereat" in the pedimented top and (in black on white) "Horas non numero nisi serenas" at the bottom of the dialplate. Note: The postcode indicates St Peter’s Street, but the dial is on the Causeway.
