BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

This dial has not worn well and is made even more illegible by the growth of lichens on it. In 1957, Mrs Crowley managed to draw some hour lines and a few numerals but by 1992 Burge could only guess at these though he wondered whether there might once have been the motto "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi" across the top of the rectangular part of the dial plate. The plain gnomon is a replacement for a more ornate one that was still in place in 1957.
