BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Stephen’s Church, Saltash

This quite large slate dial on the porch is in poor condition. It has a motto which reads: "Sol Me Vos Umbra Regit" (The Sun rules me, the Shadow you). The names of Joseph Avery and Jewell Doidge, Churchwardens appear on the dial, followed by the year. Ref: Gatty 1900 p 408, though she incorrectly reports the name Jewell as Savell.
