BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Parish Church, Sancreed

This is a tall thin dial and surprisingly little use has been made of the large arch at the top. "A:C fecit 1752" and "Lat: 50.10" take up very little space. Could AC be Andrew Curnow who made the dial at St Ives twenty years previously? At the gnomon root is a pair of leaves, and feathery sun rays turn into hour lines. The half-hour markers have a smaller version of the leaf design.
