BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Berry Pomeroy

This dial is mounted high on the two-storey porch. Since it was put there in 1687 it has suffered damage with the loss of its right hand finial and left lower corner. It declines West and shows the hours VI to III undivided (unless the fleur-de-lys between the numerals are meant to be half-hour markers). Below the left hand finial are the initials TM which also are found on the dial at Staverton. A flat-topped 8 is found on the Staverton dial as well. Was TM the maker of both? The gnomon is a replacement. The dial measures 450mmw x 600mh.
