BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Devon and Exeter Institution, Exeter

The Devon and Exeter Institution is a subscription library. High on the front of the house is a plain dial of painted wood. It declines 40° West and shows the hours X - VIII divided into halves and quarters, using XII and IIII. The dial was the gift of a Mr Divett in 1826 and was moved to its present position in 1847. It was repainted in1978.
