BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Giles’ & St Peter’s Church, Sidbury

This stone dial is set on a two-storey porch where it conceals a blocked up window. Although Mrs Gatty records a motto, "Ut hora sic Vita" (Life is as an hour) there is today absolutely nothing to be distinguished on the dial plate, so thorough has been the process of erosion. The gnomon, by contrast, is still intact though left with nothing to do. The dial is 600mm square.
