BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Exeter College, Exeter

Within the college on a south facing wall is a vertical dial which declines east and shows the hours from 6am to 4pm. The report of 1981 referred to an empty slot below the dial, which might once have held a dedicatory plaque connected with the building’s earlier function as Hele’s School. This is unexplained, as is the fact that the dial was idntified as metal. It is possible that there has been some confusion of identity.
