BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Market Square, Ilchester

The original dial, erected in 1792 was blown down in 1990 gales. The present one is a replacement with new, dials, column and gnomons, erected 1991. The original motto is indecipherable. The new motto reads: "Tempus Orbis"
