BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary & Clement Church, Clavering

Painted furniture of black lines on stone. Shows 7am to ?5pm in half and quarter hours. Square around gnomon root. Full length hour and half hour lines from this. Letters A.M. Above the present gnomon but below the real root of the dial. Few numerals visible. Gnomon support holes show a possible stirrup support for the original one. Present ’gnomon’ is useless.
