BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St. Cuthbert’s Church, Carlisle

Thought to be the oldest sundial in Britain, in a very isolated location 25 miles NE of Carlisle. It is a Saxon dial on an Anglian Cross. There is now (2003) a stained glass reproduction of the dial in one of the windows of the church, see SRN 8430.
