BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St John the Baptist Church, Littlehempston

This slate dial is mounted across the angle between the south aisle wall and a buttress so that it is canted to the West. At the top of the triangular pediment is the date 1721 and below that a sun face surrounds the gnomon root with a crescent moon underneath. The hours shown are 6am to 6pm in half hours marked by inward arrows. Strip gnomon and upwards supporter. The gnomon is a replacement. The dial measures 610mmh x 460mmw.
