BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Andrew’s Church, Cullompton

It comes as no surprise to find that, though she mentioned it, Mrs Crowley did not attempt to draw the dial. It is perched very high on the battlemented top of the South aisle. It is quite small (450mm square) and so eroded that nothing can be distinguished on the dial plate at all. A fragment of the gnomon remains. Even when the dial was new it would have needed very keen eyesight or a telescope in order to read it.
