BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Cornwood

A niche on the porch houses this slate dial which is canted to the East above a stone slab. At the top of the dial is a partly legible inscription which has been interpreted as the maker’s name, T.Halls, or possibly TH followed by the word ’fecit’ and, more clearly, the date 1762. The dial is a simple one, 300mm square, displaying hours VI - VI divided into halves and quarters. The stone slab on which the dial rests has an inscription in Gothic letters which reads, "In Thy Light shall we see Light." The letters CC are carved below the last word.
