BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial on the porch is now shaded for much of the middle of day by a large tree. It is canted West. Much of the slate is now illegible and what once appeared in the arch is conjectural. The motto "Memento Mori" (Remember Death) has been suggested but the letter W is definitely distinguishable on the left side which suggests that the motto might have been "Watch and Pray". It shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Noon hour line has inward pointing leaf motif. Gnomon supporter has a round foot where it meets the dial. Above the circle surrounding the gnomon root are sun rays. The dial measures 600mmw x 760mmh.
