BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Shebbear

A very plain slate dial is mounted on the porch. It has a blank arched top and shows the hours VI - VI divided into halves and quarters. The hour lines continue through the semicircle round the root of the gnomon and there is no noon gap. The dial is cracked and would benefit from some restoration. It measures 375mmw x 450mmh.
