BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Square, East Buckland

A little way south of the church in a courtyard formed by three cottages is what we might call a tribute dial since it takes inspiration from the Berry dial on the church. It was made of slate by R.S.Petch and was put in place in 1970. It has two cherubs, a star, the Moon and a sunburst at the gnomon root. Because it is partly shaded by the cottages either side of it, it shows only X - V divided into halves and quarters.
