BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Andrew’s Parish Church, Halstead

Motto reads: "Tempus Fugit" across the top. Situated high within the crenellations of Nave wall. Upright Roman numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, in rather an odd layout for a south declining vertical dial, yet the gnomon lies on the noon line. No lines now visible. Bar finger pointed gnomon with upturned curved supporter. Dial plate canted out on right hand side.
