BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sts Peter & Mary Church, Stowmarket

Stone sundial mounted on flint wall above entrance into South porch. The dial shows the time from 6am to 5pm, with 30, 15 and 5 minute divisions, the hours being marked in Roman numerals. A motto in the pedemented top reads: "Man is a Shadow", also the date of 1808. The iron rod gnomon has an upturned tip and an S-shaped supporter.
