BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (N)

The dial is close to the SE corner of the south aisle. It shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Mounted on a stone pillar. Gnomon reported missing in 1997. The motto reads: ’Tempus edax rerum 1831’. The date is at the south side, and on either side is lettering in script form, but badly worn and difficult to read, possibly ’Firby (Sciese) 1831 (Walied) Sculp’.
