BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Anne’s Church, Catterick

The dial is located over the church porch and declines 12 degrees to the East. The motto reads: "Fugit hora ora" (The hour flies, pray). The gnomon has been replaced and set on the noon line instead of the 11am line where it was originally. 6am to 5pm are shown in half hours. Ref: Rev W S Calverley pub Titus Wilson Kendal 1899 p 239.
