BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Andrew’s Church, Kirkby Malzeard

The dial located over the South porch has the Inscr: "This dial was given by Mr W Buck Minister here Anno 1697". Below that is: "Floreat Ecclesia", with possibly more on a second line. Vertical Roman hour numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, with hour lines to a semicircle around the gnomon root, and half hours. Inward half hour markers are lozenge headed. Bronze strip gnomon with single supporter. The supporter has what appears to be an upward facing arrow near its base, curved round almost into a semicircle so that the arrow head and feather both point inwards. A curved scrap of metal(?) hangs from the gnomon tip. Mrs Gatty notes a design lat of North 5412 but this no longer visible. Lakeland towns and villages by Shelbourn 1988.
