BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church W end of S wall, Wooler

A simple south facing dial. But did it set out to have a west facing plate where the adjacent quoin stone has the inscription "CA V 1765"? And were these letters a marriage mark in the style of the time?
