BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Lawrence’s Church, Warkworth

This fairly standard dial with good sunburst graces an interesting, largely Norman church in an interesting village complete with castle and fortified bridge. The church is unusual in being one of only a very few ancient Northumberland churches with a steeple, a poor thing but the best the local stone could support. The porch on which the dial stands holds a room that was once a schoolroom.
