BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary the Virgin’s Church, Stamfordham

The dial is on the south wall of the chancel. The motto reads: "While we have TIME let us do good unto all men" (Gal vi 10) in two lines across the bottom of the dial. The hour lines are incised but the numerals are carved in relief. The dial is very neatly held together by nine cleats. It has clearly fallen and smashed, the fate of many dials held up by iron cleats liable to rust.
