BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary the Virgin’s Church, Horton nr Blyth

The church is near Low Horton Farm. This has been a fine dial but is now sadly eroded although the outlines remain clear and the church is worth a look. An early record states that the motto reads: "Redeem Time 1829" in gothic lettering and underneath the name WD Thompson followed by the date. The dial is canted out slightly to face about S80E. Horton does not appear in some gazetteers or even OS maps. It is 3.75 miles SW of Blyth and is in the Bedlington Deanery.
