BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St. James’ Church, Penrith

Cube dial with five faces inscribed. South gnomon broken off. Other still present. Markings all worn. East face lines for 7, 8 and 9 (Arabic) am can still be seen. Mounted on a cylindrical stone column with two step square base. Capital is slightly larger than column and downward tapered to it.
