BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial is mounted on a cast concrete tablet fixed to the wall. It has delicate floral engraving. It was designed for the latitude of London & brought to Cumbria by the owner. It shows 4am to 8pm in 5, 10, 15 and 30 minute intervals. The motto reads: ’The Shadow Passes, Light remains’.
