BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Cuthbert’s Church, Darlington

On south wall at far west end. A wooden dial dated 1774 but in good condition having been restored in 1997. Motto reads: "Sit sine lite dies [’Let the Day be without Strife’]. Faint gold individual hour lines. Blue edging with a white centre. Ornamental scroll support for the gnomon. Canted a little to face south.
