BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dean Row Chapel, Wilmslow

A tall sandstone pillar in the graveyard supports a three faced dial. The faces are slate and the three gnomons are bronze. On the north face, where the sun rarely shines is an inscription, ’In remembrance of the Founders of Dean Row Chapel circa 1688’. It is a Unitarian chapel. A good restoration in 1999, celebrating the millennium, one hundred years after the dial was erected has given this excellent dial at least another century’s use.
