BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Morwenna’s Church, Morwenstow

This dial is canted to whe West on the porch gable. Though its date is not known, the years have left their mark and the bottom right hand corner has broken away with the loss of the numeral II. The motto "Life is Like a Shadow" can be seen across the top. The gnomon is a replacement. A drawing of this dial appears in Mrs Gatty’s ’Book of Sundials’ showing it to be in much better condition in 1890 than it is today.
