BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Holy Trinity Church, St Austell

This dial is very plain apart from its narrow decorative border. It declines West but it has lost its gnomon. The cheerless motto is a standard feature. The dial measures 590mm x 780mm. Perhaps of more interest is something that you can see on the west end of the church where a hole in the wall is at the centre of a circle of carved studs. It is all that remains of a 24-hour clock.
