BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Madernus’ Church, Madron

This dial is to be found at the east end of the south aisle on the rood-stair turret. It is made from copper and mounted on a backing plate of slate. Weathering has made it a little difficult to read but the VI - VI hours are in fact divided into halves and quarters. The motto "Thy Days are like a Shadow that declineth" is a shortened version of Psalm CII v11. It declines slightly east. The gnomon supporter has intricate scroll work.
