BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Just Church, St Just in Penwith

Because the church porch does not face true South, the dial has been canted on a stone support in order to align it correctly. In the arch is Father Time illuminated by a rising sun and above him is the motto "Sic Tranist Gloria Mundi" (So passes the glory of the world). The name of the donor, Nicholas Reseigh, is now almost illegible. The dial plate has a horizontal crack and the shallow engraving has made it difficult to read some of the finer subdivisons of the hours VI - VI.
