BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Although neither Mrs Crowley nor Pevsner accord this church a dedication, a notice board in the churchyard describes it as All Saints. The slate dial on the porch is rectangular and measures 400mmw x 330mmh. Across the top is inscribed "Anno Dom¯ 1641" between scroll patterns, and a flower inside concentric semicircles surrounds the gnomon root. It shows VI - VI in half hours and the numerals are inconsistent in that the ones along the sides are read from inside the chapter ring while those along the bottom are read from the outside. At the corners, IX and III go their own ways. It has survived well apart from minor chips along the edges.
