BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Motto (1) reads: ’The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handy work’. Motto (2) reads : ’Tempus Fugit’. Stated Lat 50:51, Declines 63° 18’E. By 1998 the dial plate was virtually blank. Chapel now part of a farm. Shows 4am to 1pm in half and quarter hours, (no subdivisions between 12 and 1 it seems). Possible 1.30 mark. Painted cream as rest of wall and inset in dark green painted stone? Frame.
