BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saints’ Cathedral, Wakefield

The dial is located high over the porch. Original dial said to be c. 1635. Recently cleaned and well carved stone dial. Elaborate surround. VI - XII - IIII - VI, with fleur-de-lys half hour markers in the oval chapter ring. On the east side of the gnomon is engraved ’This porch was restored by / Joseph Barker, Esquire, J. P. / of Holme-field, Wakefield / A. D. 1881’.
