BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial Post Hotel (1), Bourton-on-the-Water

Above the porch doorway. Dial block mounted on ridge of entrance porch. Ball finial above dial block. Northeast face not visible. Hour lines and 15min intervals just visible of the East face. Scroll patterned gnomons. Date is that of house, which is presumed to be that of dial. Cube is set with ’principal’ face west declining. The two adjacent gnomons are set accordingly. No markings are now visible. The dial is a ’conceit’ being set up parallel to the Hotel wall.
