Carved Stone with inset Cast Bronze Hemispherical Dial

Commissioned for a private garden as a memorial to a loved one, the sundial is set into the ground and comprises of a stone panel carved with oak leaves with a hemispherical bronze sundial recessed into it. The inscriptions on the stone and bronze have been obscured for reasons of privacy as requested by the client.

Tim explains: "The design was carved directly into a stone panel, the sundial bowl was modelled in wax and handed over to the foundry for casting in bronze. Seen here; the setting of the gnomon after casting.
