The Bulletin Archive is a treasure trove of information for all aspects of dialling, with articles ranging from the mathematics of sundials, the design and construction of impressive and well known public dials, instructions for sundials you can make yourself, reviews of books, the background of specific dials, metallurgical and historical investigations into the provenance of dials, and lots of beautiful pictures and artworks related to dials, both in the UK and elsewhere.
Publications from 1989 onwards are freely available to the public in PDF format, with the exception of the last two years (8 issues), which are for members only. The first phase of the project has so far reached 2012, with more to come soon. The articles have been summarised and categorised with the help of AI (mostly Notebook LM and ChatGPT) and then checked by human editors to help you find what you're looking for.
