Bridol: British Dials Online

The BSS Register of Fixed Dials is a computer database and physical archive, in which we aim to capture all the dials of quality in the British Isles.  We now have a record of some 7,000 dials. Some of these are in private homes, but a huge number (currently about 4,800) are publicly viewable. See the full summary here. The listing page shows all the dials by county and town.

The online register gives detail and photographs of all these dials in the UK which you can visit and see. If you know of a sundial not in our database, please tell us about it with the Dial Recording Form.
